Place 3: David Alaba

After a long and unsuccessful contract negotiation, David Alaba has finally moved away from Bayern Munich. He left his boyhood club after 13 years, while having played 11 years in the adult team of the most successful club in Germany. Without specifying why he left Bayern, let us take a look at the most important details about Alaba. He is 29-year-old now, but still has a 55 million Euros market value according to the most reliable football market evaluation website, transfermarkt.de. He joined Real Madrid this summer and took Sergio Ramos’ number 4 for his jersey. Considering that he joined Madrid as a free agent, he is still considered one of the best defenders in modern day football, which he proved once again at the Euro 2020 championship. A 5/5 stars transfer for Real Madrid.

Place 2: Achraf Hakimi

Hakimi joined PSG after 1 full successful season at Inter Milan for 60 million Euros. As Inter is currently struggling financially, they had to offload some of their players this summer, and Hakimi was one of them. Thanks to this transfer, Inter’s current transfer balance is at +63.55 Mill. Euros. This gives hope to the club to come out of their financial struggles. Achraf Hakimi is considered the best right back/right wing-back of our time, while only being 22 years old. He will add tremendous quality to PSG’s team on the right wing. It is also safe to say that his market valuation will only rise in the next 6 to 8 years, which indicates that the transfer itself is a great investment by the Parisian giants. I would rate the transfer a 4.5/5 stars.

Place 1: Jadon Sancho

The most anticipated and exciting transfer finally took place, with Manchester United announcing Sancho a few days ago. This brings a 2-year long transfer negotiation to an end, where Borussia Dortmund threw in the towel through an 85 million Euro transfer deal with the Red Devils. Sancho will not only bring quality and depth to the squad, but also immense marketing and branding revenue due to his high market valuation and popularity amongst United fans from all over the world. He is one of the few football players that has a market value of over 100 million Euros, making him now the second most valuable Premier League player. With this addition, United will definitely be a threat for other Premier League giants, and a serious contender for the Premier League trophy. This transfer cannot be rated less than 5/5 stars.
